Web Insite - PPC

How pay per click (PPC) works: Web Insite, Inc.

PPC is an internet advertising model used on search engines that works to generate an immediate response from those on the internet searching for customers.

This model allows for placement just about anywhere online, such as search engines, blogs and advertising networks.

When wanting to display your ad on a search engine you must first bid on keywords or key phrases that a potential customer would type in to find you online.

When a user types in that search your information will be placed in what is called a sponsored listing or sponsored ads. This is usually placed to the right of the organic searches.

The down side to this type of format is that the website owner is charged a fee for every time someone, anyone clicks on their links. There are few regulatories in place to keep this type of advertising monitored or on the honor system and the conversion rate on the return on investment (ROI) may be nominal.

Click fraud is closely monitored but usally not guaranteed with anything other than clicks added or adjusted. Who is to say that this simply will continue and your conversion rate not reflecting true.

Pay per clicks in my opinion do serve their purpose. Immediate exposure, increase of traffic and internet presence, but at a cost per keyword.
